Clean & Maintain

-Spot-treat stains immediately by blot-pressing(not rubbing)with a clean, dry cloth to absorb moisture. For tougher spots, dab gently with a mix of lukewarm water and a mild, delicate-friendly detergent.

-For general cleaning purposes, use a damp cloth to gently clean the piece. We do not recommend submerging the piece completely in water as the endings and other materials/fabrics may discolour damaging one another.

-Lay to air-dry. 

Handle & Store

-Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Preferably in a drawer or breathable cotton bag to prevent creases. 

-To remove dust and lint, gently brush the scarf with a soft-bristled clothes brush in the direction of the velvet's nap.

-If necessary, steam-remove wrinkles, keeping the iron/steamer at least an inch away from the fabric. 

-Ensure your hands are clean when handling the scarf to avoid transferring oils and dirt.

What to Avoid

-Bleach and fabric softeners. 

-Machine wash.

-Direct heat and sunlight.

-Rubbing stains, twisting, wringing or crushing against heavy items, this can damage the pile.

-Hanging it, as this can cause stretching or distortion of the pile. 

-Direct sunlight and heat to prevent fading and damage.

-Dust buildup, which can dull the sheen. 

-Folding to store or rolling to dry, as this can crush the pile.

-Using iron directly on the velvet.
