Gemstones | Care Advice
Clean & Maintain
-You can wash most gemstones with a soapy water solution.
-Fill a small bowl with warm water and add a few drops of mild, non-abrasive soap. Place your gemstone jewellery in the solution for a few minutes to help loosen dirt. Scrub gently, using a soft-bristle toothbrush to gently brush the stone and its setting to remove any build-up.
-Rinse the jewellery thoroughly under cold, clean running water.
-Pat the piece dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to restore its shine.
Handle & Storage
-Gently wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth after each use to remove oils, sweat, and residue.
-Keep gemstones in a separate compartment or a soft pouch to protect them from scratches by other jewellery.
-Lay your necklaces flat to prevent the string from stretching from the weight.
What to Avoid
-Harsh scrubbing to avoid scratches, boiling water, or ultrasonic cleaners.
-Direct contact with chemicals like perfume and hairspray by applying them before putting on your pearls.
-Using steam cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, or abrasive cleaners, and keeping pearls away from acids like vinegar and lemon juice.
